I'm pretty sure I am not alone when saying Nando's is literally one of the most amazing food places there is. I don't know if it's the Macho Peas or the Refillable drinks, there is something about Nando's that I can't get enough of. A few weeks back I was lucky enough to attend the re-opening of Nando's Red Lion Street Norwich, where after a -painstaking for some- month of refurbishment's had taken place. So sit back and enjoy the very picture heavy peak into the Nando's ReHatch- Red Lion Street Norwich.
I ended up attending the event with fellow blogger Christie. We where both super excited and taken back by how different the place looked! The whole place has been majorly updated, with walls being knocked down to create more space and decor that would make anyone happy!
When we arrived we where greeted by staff who referred to us as the 'food bloggers' (This was such a surreal moment for me), given a mini tour of the new drink/sauce station and then taken to our seats. The place was closed to the public, but other diners included fitness blogger/YouTuber Carly Rowena and local businesses. We where given a list of foods that we could have to try. I picked Half a chicken (Medium of course) and chips. Nando's literally do the best chips, they are always cooked just right!
The new drinks machine is super fancy and electronic definitely not your typical self serve machine. Its all touch screen and you control what drink/how much you want.
After eating the deputy manager Claire came to introduce herself and give us a bit more insight to what took place etc with the changes. Some of the stuff we where told: that there is no plastic in any of the new restaurant, part of the old floor is now on the wall of the staff room and the lights are made from different materials such as cork, concrete and leather (oh and they have names such as Rose etc). It was really interesting to hear about the different features etc, I just wished I'de taken some notes as I have embarrassingly forgotten some of it :( Claire is literally a credit to the company, so enthusiastic and polite it was so lovely to see! Saying that the staff at the Red Lion Street Nando's are all so friendly and happy, it makes the visiting experience all that much better!
I had such an amazing time at the event and again felt so honoured to have gone. I've never been to an exclusive event like this and it literally felt amazing. Im such a huge Nando's fan and everything about the new look restaurant is beautiful! My favourite thing is defiantly the big leather/suede lamp shades and the yellow wall separator.
