I don't know about you guys but I'm a lip balm junkie. Like seriously, if there was a rehab just for lip balm I would have been admitted long ago. Saying that I'm also allergic to a lot of lip balms, causing my lips to swell and bleed, so finding the perfect lip balms can sometimes be a very uncomfortable job. When I first heard about the 'Dr PawPaw Original Clear Balm*' I was pretty curious to see what it had to offer me and how it would differ from my usual go-to's.

First Impressions..

Lets start by stating the obvious. The packaging. Its bright yellow in colour and a handy sized tube that fits easily into any pocket. (Not to mention when lost in that Mary Poppins style hand bag, it can be easily spotted from a far.) The product its self has no smell and is thick in constancy, meaning there is no nasty taste and a little is going to go along way! (Little tip, I had a little bit of struggle getting the product out to begin with, but warming the tube up in my hands meant it melted the enough to come out easily.)

It contains the ingredient 'Paw Paw' (hence the name) which comes from the fruit of the plant Carica Papaya which apparently has natural healing properties.

Application & Uses

Like I said before, a little goes along way. Squeeze the tiniest amount out and it will cover your lips easily, leaving them feeling moisturised. Its not just for lips either. I use it on my cuticles and for some unknown reason my mozzie bites that I seem to have acquired a lot recently. (God damn you hot weather) Its noticeably made my lips feel so much better and has become a staple in my handbag.

On their website they say it can be used for: Nappy rash, lip finisher, sun burn, skin irritations and as a hair conditioning treatment! Thats mad, hair conditioning? I think I'm going to have to try it!

I would defiantly recommend this product if your a bit of a lip balm freak like myself, its affordable and does exactly what it says. It sinks quickly into your skin leaving what ever you've applied it to feeling hydrated and smooth. Trying to think of negatives about the product is kind of hard, maybe a slight scent would be nice? I don't know. Theres nothing wrong with the product in my honest opinion.
Is it worth the price? Definitely! In all honestly, its pretty cheap for a decent lip balm! I've spent a lot more on products that suck!.
25ml is £6.95
