For as long as I can remember I've wanted to do a beauty/makeup swap with someone from America. Theres so many cool and exciting brands that I've wanted to try and I can't always rely on my sister to bring me back treats when she visits. So, I plucked up the courage and asked in a international beauty group on FaceBook if any one would be interested in swapping USA only for UK only products.
Ashanka aka LitaStarr, was the first to comment so I messaged her and we quickly began chucking ideas at each other and discussing what we both wanted out of the swap. Thats a pretty important thing to talk about, you don't want to send/receive products that they other/yourself isn't going to use or may be allergic too! We set a budget of $30 which works out at roughly £19 (however I did go over and ended up spending £29 roughly), set a date to send by and carried on getting to know each other a little better so we could find the perfect products.
I received my parcel about a week or so ago now, but didn't want to open till I had time to film a unboxing. However, I had an allergic reaction to some face wipes and am currently unable to wear eye makeup! So I gave in and opened my package. I was so excited to see what gifts I had in store and oh my I wasn't disappointed!
When I opened I was greeted by two beautifully recycled BirchBox's. I felt so guilty, I had literally bubble wrapped and brown papered her things like crazy as I was so worried about smashing!
Each green envelope had a little cute message inside which gave them such a personal touch.
